Developing and maintaining a safe workplace is no easy task. That is why local companies and the community make a combined effort to develop and maintain a safe workplace. They accomplish this task through Ohio safety councils, all of which have the same goal - to increase safety awareness. Currently there are 81 safety councils in Ohio with more than 10,000 members. To promote safety in business and industry within Licking County; to hold quality meetings pertaining to occupational safety and health, Ohio Bureau of Workers' Compensation services and rehabilitation; programs are coordinated by the Chamber through the Div. of Safety & Hygiene.
