Developing and maintaining a safe workplace is no easy task. That is why local companies and the community make a combined effort to develop and maintain a safe workplace. They accomplish this task through Ohio safety councils, all of which have the same goal - to increase safety awareness.
Currently there are 81 safety councils in Ohio with more than 10,000 members.
To promote safety in business and industry within Licking County; to hold quality meetings pertaining to occupational safety and health, Ohio Bureau of Workers' Compensation services and rehabilitation; programs are coordinated by the Chamber through the Div. of Safety & Hygiene.

BWC training classes will be in high demand as the fiscal year winds down in May and June of 2013.

In addition to employers attending BWC training classes for their general knowledge and professional development, they also attend to fulfill safety training requirements for several BWC discount programs.

This may mean a seat in a BWC training class will not be available to an employer if they wait until the last minute to register.

The solution?

Attend a BWC training class this fall or winter and earn training credits early in the fiscal year, in case they are needed and take advantage of excellent safety education, free to all Ohio employers.

Contact your safety council or BWC representative for a schedule of training classes in your local service office or visit www.bwclearningcenter.com to register.
