Michael A. Coates, B.S. Degree 1989, The Ohio State University
For the past twenty-two years Michael has been involved in the safety and health profession, consulting with hundreds of industries. He has been a speaker at national and regional conferences throughout the country and worked with companies such as Pepsi, Lucent Technologies, Coca -Cola, Frito Lay, Kaiser Aluminum and Rockwell International. His work for the last sixteen years has been with The Ohio Division of Safety and Hygiene. He has produced safety and health videos in cooperation with Continental Cable Vision, made numerous presentations in the areas of confined space, code of federal regulations, and the importance of a comprehensive pro-active safety culture in industry.
Michael attributes his interest in the safety and health profession to his life experiences, one of them being when he served as a roadie with the Rolling Stones. Currently, Michael is an industrial hygienist who devotes part of his time to conducting training programs.

Safety Council Manager, Membership Director and Director of Affiliates at the Licking County Chamber of Commerce. Vicky resides in Newton Township, and is married to Ron and the mother of one son Darin (Jennie) Brown and grandmother to Jocelyn Brown.
She is an active board member of Crime Stoppers of Licking County and operates the Newark Downtown Farmer’s Market for the Chamber. Vicky is involved with the Ohio BWC Safety Congress as a member of the Safety 24/7 Committee.
Vicky is a graduate of Maysville High School in Zanesville, OH and attended COTC.

Mr. Dantzer is an EHS Manager with eleven years experience in manufacturing safety and environmental regulatory compliance and ten years experience in construction safety, environmental remediation, facility demolition and hazardous waste management. Mr. Dantzer is currently serving as the Safety and Security Coordinator with Kaiser Aluminum in Newark Ohio.

Licking County native, graduate of Ohio State, over 35 years of experience in Human Resources, Organization Development, training, manufacturing, safety, and environmental compliance. Currently Director of Human Resources at the Licking County Board of Developmental Disabilities. Serving on the United Way Personnel committee and the Doris Kaspar Orr Foundation through the Licking County Foundation. Married to Robb and we have 2 grown boys.

Owner of Signature Occupational Health Care providing Occupational health services to industry in Licking County.
Married to Jeffrey Heim and between us we have 5 grown children and 3 grandchildren.
In my spare time, I am also the owner of DITTO Boutique in Dresden, Ohio. Safety and health are my first passion and proud to be a member of the Licking County Safety Council and steering committee.

Rachel Heimerl lives in Johnstown where she lives and works on the family farm, her husband Matt is part owner, and Rachel is the office manager. They have one daughter Lauren. Rachel graduated from The Ohio State University with a bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Education. Rachel’s responsibilities at the farm include accounts payable and receivable, human resources and all areas pertaining to safety.
Rachel is active in the Ohio Farm Bureau Federation as a Licking County Farm Bureau board trustee and current chair of the Young Agricultural Professional Advisory Committee at the state level. Rachel is involved with the county 4-H program by presenting the quality assurance training for all swine exhibitors at the Hartford Independent Fair and as a club advisor. Rachel also participates in the Operation Main Street program through the National Pork Board which requires her to speak to civic organizations about the pork industry in Ohio.

Steve is a Viet Nam Veteran who moved to Newark in 1978. Prior to joining Tectum Inc. in 2007, Steve worked at Diebold Inc. for twenty plus years in the materials management arena. In addition, he worked several years as a substitute teacher in many of our county schools. Steve is a graduate of Mohawk High School in Wyandot County, and Hanover College in southern Indiana. He also has a Masters Degree from Central Michigan University. Married to his wife, Diana, for forty plus years, they have two grown daughters. While the children were growing up, Steve was very active in the Licking Valley Band Boosters and our local 4H horse and pony program. Currently, Steve is the Safety Administrator at Tectum Inc. and is an active member of Elks Lodge 391.

Ed Nutter has been employed by the City of Newark for 23 years, working in the Division of Water and Wastewater. He has been in his current position as Safety / Training Coordinator since 2005. Ed holds a Class III Wastewater Operators license from Ohio EPA. He not only represents the City of Newark on the Licking County Safety Council but also serves as Chairman of the Ohio Water Environment Association Safety Committee and is an active member of the national Water Environment Federation Safety, Security and Occupational Health Committee. Ed has also been active in the Ohio Safety Congress and Expo serving on the Safety 24/7 Committee.
Ed is a graduate of Newark High School and a life long resident of Newark

Is an Industrial/Construction Safety Consultant Specialist with the State of Ohio, Division of Safety and Hygiene and he attended Columbus State and Ohio University. He works with both public and private employers, serving Licking and Franklin counties and Blacklick Ohio focusing on general industry and construction safety consulting. He has served the last twenty-four years with American Electric Power, the City of Columbus and the State of Ohio performing safety consulting, safety management techniques, audits, training and processes. Tracy welcomes the opportunity to meet and work with you and your organization, small or large.

Larry is life long resident of Newark, and is married to Kathy; he is involved in many community activities. Co-director of the Miss Central Ohio Scholarship Program a preliminary to Miss Ohio / Miss America for over 20 years; serves on Licking County Republican Executive Committee; served over 20 years on The Newark Parks and Recreation Committee; Treasure for several political candidate’s campaigns and
active in several fraternal originations on the local and state level.
Larry has been with 1st Response Restoration and Reconstruction Specialists since 1995 and has been involved in the construction industry starting in 1968.
